So much for not shooting things super tight like I did yesterday. This one just stood out to me as a good opportunity to fill the frame. Finding a clean background is extremely tough at the Pepsi Center. Shooting tight is pretty much the only solution. I moved from press row into the Denver Nuggets photo room today. You can see a photo after the jump. It’s much quieter and easier for me to come and go from. The internet seems to be faster as well. Most of the bandwidth is being used by the CHSAA TV people who are live streaming the matches. It’s become a problem for anyone else trying to file on a deadline.

In my infinite wisdom and complete regard for time, I managed to miss 2 of the matches I was going to cover while I was out looking for feature photos in the 200 level of the Pepsi Center. On the other hand I did manage to shoot a match from overhead but really didn’t get anything spectacular from it. The photo problem with a lot of heavy weight wrestlers is that they don’t seem to spend a lot of time on the mat. So what you get is 3 rounds of 2 guys standing around.

And just for the hell of it, here is the feature shot I was trying to make that now that I look at, I don’t much like. Totally worth it.
