I managed to get out of the office and shoot a few baseball games between the rain and snow. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the season so far. Enjoy.

It’s that time of year again when the temperature drops along with the leaves from trees and the stadium lights burn late into the night. Sadly, I have been at the desk more than I have been able to make pictures. Here is a collection of photos from zero week football. Enjoy.

I meant to post this last week but I never got around to it. I cover a fair amount of swimming during the winter sports season. Its always a challenge to come up with strong swimming pictures when you are limited to what you can see above the water. I think this one is fairly successful for 2 reasons. The first is the drama of the water splashing around the swimmer. The second is the red digital display of the time clock reflected in the swimmers goggles. I almost chose another picture over this one until I saw that small detail.

Just one from basketball this past weekend. In case you are curious as to how I made this picture, check out this post. Look for an update to that post in the near future featuring some new gear.

What a crazy weekend. Lots to do with little time to get it done. The highlight of the weekend was covering Columbine High School winning the 5A football state title. Special thanks to Gabe Christus for letting me borrow his 300. Here are a few of my favorite pictures from the game. Enjoy.

Nice headline/picture combo, eh? Evergreen was eliminated from the class 3A football playoffs this weekend. Complete story can be found here (Warning: subscription required).

I set a remote camera during every race I had to cover at the 2011 CHSAA State Cross Country Championships this year. I had some success and a few failures. Speaking of failures (WARNING: Rant Approaching), CHSAA has once again made covering the finish line nearly impossible for photographers. They continue to insist on having non essential personnel clogging the finish line. It is the most disorganized event I cover each year. I dread having to cover it. I know I’m not alone in this respect. (Rant over) Anyway here are a few select pictures from my remote along with some explanations.
